I Made New Covers for My Fantasy Series

Hello readers,

Thank you for being here today. I know there are dozens of things you could be doing right now: working, reading something else, watching Tiktok. So thank you for reading this. I've been looking to read more newsletters than Tiktoks lately and its been such a blessing. I love taking the time to sit in others' creativity for more than a minute. If I'm subscribed to your newsletter, please know that I often read it all the way through even if I don't reply.

As I told you all a couple months ago, I've come to a cross roads with my fantasy series Instruments of Sacrifice

Quick history:

I started in 2010 (I was 10!)

I published the first book Spirit Followers in 2016.

I republished Spirit Followers in 2018 along with its sequel Keepers of the Crown.

I published book 3 Time Passers last September (2020).

In July, I took all three books of Amazon because 1) I didn't have the time to market. 2) I didn't have the time to write the rest of the series and 3) I just don't know what I want to do with it lol.

There are three more books to come and they are going to come, I promise. I will republish the first three books as well. I just... don't know when or how lol. I might query agents. I might republish on Amazon. Who knows? God does...thankfully.

I want this series to reach a lot of people. I don't want it to just sit on Amazon for years with a handful of reviews (I am VERY happy for every single review I get though, please know that.)

Anyway, I'm still figuring all that out but in the meantime I got sucked down a rabbit hole of watching speed edits of book covers on Youtube and oops...three days and a lot of hours on Canva later, I'd redone the three book covers of the first three books AND made covers for the rest of the series. It was so much fun! I don't consider myself a professional cover creator at ALL and I highly encourage anyone looking to publish to hire someone who knows what they're doing. I did this because it was fun to learn and now I have a new skill set.

With that being said, I present to you the new covers for the first three books in my series. (That um...isn't published but will be!) What do you think? Do you like the old covers more? It's okay if you do.

Once again, thank you for reading. There will be more soon.

Much love,

Lydia
